The Fernie Ghostriders return to enemy territory for game five Thursday, fighting to regain their first round series lead over the Kimberley Dynamiters.
The intense match up, gridlocked at 2-2, has logged 233 penalty minutes already.
Riders rookie Brendan Nemes says it’s the best time he’s ever had.
Nemes describes the level of emotion in the series as unbelievable but explains although it gets heated, everyone is just striving to play their best hockey.
Nothing compares to how badly the entire team wants to take the series he says, adding the rivalry is definitely something he’s never felt before.
The 18 year old believes the environment provides a great opportunity and shares he’s so happy he decided to join the Riders.
Nemes was the team’s lone goal scorer in their 3-2 Tuesday loss, he’s averaged a point a game in the series so far.
He and older brother Devin are both new additions to the Fernie roster this season.
