Yvonne Prest, who ran unsuccessfully in Kootenay East earlier this month, says the new deal will attract more attention to the Green platform around the province.
“I’m excited for the Greens to be getting such positive publicity and just being able to show that they are a main party to be taken seriously,” Prest says. “We are here for years to come and we can be trusted.”
Columbia River-Revelstoke’s Samson Boyer feels this is the best option for the Green Party going forward.
He feels Greens and NDP working together for a common goal is the best possibility for British Columbia
“I think it could go well. Of course, the Greens and NDP have differing opinions depending on the issue,” Boyer says. “But really, its about BC as a whole. We need to find solutions that work for everyone.”
Both Green leader Andrew Weaver and John Horgan of the N-D-P have said they will stand against the expansion of the Kinder Morgan pipeline, among other issues.
