A gold medal paralympian from Kimberley is touring secondary schools in our region this week.
Josh Dueck will speak to students about being seriously injured as a worker and the importance of safety on the job.
Dueck’s life changed forever when he was training students for the 2004 Canadan Junior Nationals.
He went too fast on down a demonstration jump and fell 100 feet, breaking his back and severing his spine.
Dueck will tell students about how he still realized his dreams despite his injury.
