An Invermere man is said to be OK after his car crashed into the back of a local bank.
Columbia Valley RCMP were called to the bank on Sunday night where the 80 year old man’s Nissan Pathfinder was found embedded into the wall.
Sergeant Bob Vatamaniuck says drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the incident.
“The driver had just lost control of the vehicle, in particular the foot pedals.” explains Vatamaniuck. “He got them relatively mixed up and did some damage to the wall.”
No charges are being considered.
Police and ICBC are working together to determine if the man can still safely operate a motor vehicle.
