Columbia Valley RCMP alleges a father was impaired when his ATV carrying three young children rolled over in Fairmont Hot Springs.
Mounites responded to a report of the incident on Columbia Lake road Friday.
Police say initial reports suggested one of the children had been pinned under the ATV and all of the youth suffered minor injuries.
Officers spoke to the suspect who admitted to taking his three children for a ride when the ATV tipped over at a slow speed.
During the conversation RCMP detected the smell of liquor coming from the man and also noticed other signs of impairment.
The father was issued a 24 hour driving prohibition and served violation tickets for no insurance, no approved safety helmet and allowing a minor to be a passenger without a helmet.
The vehicle was impounded.
One of the children was taken to hospital for further assessment.
