Hosmer’s fire department has a new vehicle for their fleet.
Battalion Chief Jeremy Nordstrom accepted the keys for the department’s newest response vehicle.
The 2011 F350 Crew Cab comes from the Elk Valley and South Country Rural Fire and Rescue.
Deputy Chief Michael Hockley says the new truck has multiple benefits.
“Better capability to respond to wild land interface fires and to carry more people to calls.” explains Hockley.
The new vehicle replaces an aging engine that was retired three weeks ago.
