The Kootenay ICE are bringing in a familiar face as the new video coach for the upcoming season.
Former ICE goalie Nathan Lieuwen is returning to Cranbrook after spending five seasons in the NHL and minor leagues.
The 25-year old’s hockey career was cut short due to a long history of concussions.
Lieuwen spent parts of five seasons with the Kootenay ICE including their 2011 Memorial Cup run where he was named WHL Playoff MVP.
Full story to come.
