A string of four small wildfires have ignited in the mountains between Canal Flats and Elkford.
One blaze, 0.01 hectares in size, is burning between the Village of Canal Flats and Whiteswan Lake Provincial Park in the Mount Grainger area.
The largest fire is located in the Barr Creek area northwest of with a newer fire detected just east of that.
The exact location or size of the second fire is unknown at this time.
The fourth fire is reported in the White River region and is the only one of the blazes suspected to be person caused, at this time.
Meanwhile, BC Wildfire Service crews continue to battle a fire in the Ward-Bloom region roughly 25km west of Lake Koocanusa.
That blaze has grown to 39 hectares in size.
