The first ever Cranbrook Fall Festival is set to take place tomorrow.
The inaugural event will feature buskers, vendors and engaging events at Rotary Park and 1st Street South.
Cranbrook Events and Marketing Manager Paul Heywood says this is one of the ways they want to make the city more engaging.
“We thought we’d do something a bit different for Cranbrook.” explains Heywood. “A busking festival plus just allow vendors of all types and all the non-profit groups to come in with the musicians and join us.”
He says this event is unique to anything else the city has done in the past.
“We’re trying to just bring some vibrancy to the downtown area but also just highlight everything that we’re doing everything that we’re doing in the city.” says Heywood. “A lot of the vendors and their programs are all coming down just to tell people as we go into fall and winter ‘these are some of the programs that we can do.'”
Four local breweries will be participating in a beer tasting event at the “PUB Stop” which also features multiple local food trucks.
Some of the interesting buskers include juggling, escape artistry, an acrobatic ladder act, illusionist, whips master and a clown.
The event runs all day Saturday at Rotary Park and 1st Avenue South.
