Advance voting for a $1.2 Million dollar treated water system in Windermere is underway.
Parallel referendums are being held for the Windermere Water Upgrade and East Side Lake Windermere Water System Service.
Chief Election Officer Shannon Moskall says the two votes both need the community’s support for the project to go ahead.
“In order for the project to proceed as presented, both votes need to be ‘yes,'” Moskall says. “If one vote or both of course is no, it’ll be up to the board of the Regional District to determine what the next step will be.”
Another advance voting date is set for October 26th.
The referendum goes October 28th at the Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce.
