The Fernie Ghostriders will play the Columbia Valley Rockies once again on Friday.
This will be the fourth time this season the two teams will face off.
The Rockies have gotten the best of the Riders so far this season winning two of three games and the other ending in a tie.
Fernie Head Coach Craig Mohr believes the two teams are very comparable.
“We both play hard, we like to get the puck moving up the ice in a hurry.” says Mohr. “Goaltending has been good on both sides so it’s kind of similar styles.”
Columbia Valley sits third in the Eddie Mountain Division with 19 points while Fernie is fourth with 13 points.
“They’re one of the teams we’re trying to chase and we’ve got some games in hand on them.” says Mohr. “We definitely would like to go into their barn and swipe away two points from them.”
Meanwhile the Kimberley Dynamiters host the Beaver Valley Nitehawks Saturday while Fernie is in Sparwood against the Nelson Leafs.
Kimberley continues to lead the Eddie Mountain with 32 points – eight points ahead of second place Creston Valley.
The Nelson Leafs also remain on top of the Neil Murdoch Division – a position they’ve held nearly the entire season.
