A new regional service out of Cranbrook’s Canadian Rockies International Airport will connect the region to anywhere.
This from General Manager Tristen Chernove who announced Friday the airline WestJet will fly out of the Key City facility to Calgary three times a day at an introductory one way rate of $91 after taxes starting March 7th.
The airline will also offer a flight from Cranbrook to Toronto for $142 after taxes.
Chernove says this means there’s no where local residents can’t go but also no one they can’t try to attract here.
He adds it’s extremely both to be connected to both national carriers Air Canada and WestJet.
The airport currently offers passenger service from Air Canada and Pacific Coastal, who will be partnering with WestJet on the new route to Calgary.
Chernove suggests they couldn’t have asked for a better schedule either.
The WestJet service will leave Cranbrook daily at 7:25 AM, 11:40 AM, 9:00 PM.
It’ll arrive from Calgary into Canadian Rockies International Airport daily at 11:05 AM, 7:50 PM, and 11:55 PM.
Chernove says this template helps hit the key times in Calgary to travel nationally and internationally but also works well for those who need heading on business trips or looking to visit our region for recreation.
