One of the newest Dynamiters is adjusting to life in Kimberley after spending two and a half seasons in Invermere.
Colby Sherlock was shipped to the Nitros on November 30 from the Columbia Valley Rockies.
The 19-year old forward amassed 33 points in 94 games with his old team.
Sherlock says it was a surprise when he heard the news but he’s starting to make the adjustment.
“I played for [Columbia Valley Rockies Head Coach] Wade [Dubielewicz] for 94 games and two seasons and didn’t think he would trade me in division so it was quite a shock when I went in there late that night but it was good for me because I needed the change anyways.” says Sherlock.
Sherlock says he’s fitting in well in the locker room.
“I have nothing to complain about.” says Sherlock. “The boys have been good and it’s just been a good experience so far which is good because that’s what you’re looking for when you go into a new home and new team.”
The 19-year old forward had seven points in 19 games with the Rockies this season.
Forward Ryan Keilty was also added to the roster a couple weeks ago from the Nelson Leafs.
Keilty registred five points in 23 contests with the Leafs before the trade.
