Both College of the Rockies volleyball teams return to action this weekend following Christmas break.
The Mens and Womens squads welcome Capilano College into town for a pair of matches Friday and Saturday.
Mens Head Coach Cisco Farrero says their focus remains the same heading into the second half.
“The wins and losses will come depending on the same skills as they did in the first semester.” says Farrero. “It will be about serve receive, serving and setting.”
Farrero says one thing they want to improve upon in the second semester is playing well at home.
“We need to play with that advantage and really push to be a cohesive unit.” says Farrero.
Meanwhile Womens Head Coach John Swanson says they hope to avoid the injury bug that bit them hard in the first semester.
“I hope that we can be relatively healthy and we can at least play some of our vets and the whole unit will be stronger because of it.” says Swanson.
Swanson says wins will come if they focus and work hard in practice.
“We need to take it week by week and we need to make sure we can be as healthy as possible.”
Both teams enter the second semester with a record of four wins and eight losses.
Each squad gets their semester started Friday night.
