One of the Kootenay ICE second round picks says getting drafted was a huge step in his hockey career.
Karter Prosofsky was selected 26th overall in the 2018 Bantam Draft.
Prosofsky says he’s developed into a strong, physical defenceman over the past few years.
“Back in peewee I wasn’t the greatest player but I’ve developed and trained as hard as I could and now I’m one of the more elite athletes.” says Prosofsky.
The 14-year old says he’s working hard in the gym this off-season.
“I’m trying to get a lot stronger.” says Prosofsky. “Hopefully I can get a bit bigger and I’m trying to get faster too.”
The 14-year old blue liner posted 18 points in 24 games with Pacific Coast Academy Bantam Prep of the Canadian Sport School League.
Prosofsky was the second player selected by the Kootenay ICE in the draft behind defenceman Carson Lambos.
