May is proving to be quite productive for Cranbrook’s Capital Roads program.
Infrastructure Planning and Delivery Manager Mike Matejka says all three major road projects in the city are ahead of schedule.
He says warm weather and an early start to the construction season has allowed them to move ahead quickly.
Matejka says storm sewer installations on Cobham Avenue are about halfway complete.
He says while the work has slowed travel, it hasn’t stopped residents from accessing homes or businesses.
Work on 9th Street South and 12th Avenue are also progressing well, with water mains and services installed and in the process of being tested.
Once complete, crews will begin work on curbs, sidewalks and pavement in those areas.
