Our region’s MP says it’s unacceptable that Greyhound’s service will be virtually eliminated in Western Canada.
Kootenay-Columbia’s Wayne Stetski says he’s writing to the Minister of Transportation to see what can be done to make sure affordable transit remains an option here and across the country.
He says he was shocked by the announcement and adds Canadians depend on affordable transit alternatives.
On Monday, Greyhound announced it will discontinue all but one of its runs in Western Canada.
This includes the route which stops in Cranbrook, connecting BC and Alberta.
