More Canadians could be flocking to Fernie for a vacation after it received national recognition as the best small town in British Columbia.
Expedia said in a recent article that Fernie has all the charm you’d hope for in a place surrounded by forest.
A town was selected in each province based on welcoming charm, unique festivals, historical significance and rigorous activities.
The agency says the city’s pine-scented air, swinging wooden signs and unique cafes make the community “serenity personified.”
The travel company also highlighted the city’s historic downtown, beanpod and brewing company.
Expedia writer Jennifer Cuellar says in the article “How can you not be in a good mood when you’re walking around a city named Fernie?”
