Cranbrook residents donated more money through the Red Cross than any other community in the Kootenays.
Almost 30 thousand dollars was generated in the 2016-2017 year topping numerous other branches throughout the wider region.
Red Cross donations help provide wheelchairs, walkers, crutches and bath aids to locals recovering from injury or surgery.
Some of the money will also go towards helping Fort McMurray recovery efforts from last year’s devastating wildfires.
A plaque presentation will be held at Rockwater Steakhouse Wednesday morning at 11:30.
