Columbia Valley RCMP was looking for a suspicious person and found an honest drunk man.
Police were conducting patrols and stopping vehicles near Radium Saturday alongside the BC Conservation Officer Service.
A Ford 150 pulled up to speak to the officer who noticed a smell of liquor coming from the vehicle.
The Mountie asked the driver if he had been drinking and the man behind the wheel responded “probably a bit too much to be driving”.
He failed a breathalyzer.
The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s license was taken for 90 days.
