Cranbrook is asking residents for their patience, as snow removal crews get to all areas of the city.
Communications Director Chris Zettel explains they rank streets in priority.
Zettel says crews have been working “full bore” since snow started falling Tuesday and they’ve done a great job maintaining the priority routes but since the snow has stopped they’ll be able to get to the secondary streets.
He believes it will take as the City until at least the end of Thursday to clear remaining residential roads.
Cranbrook received upwards of 23 cm Tuesday night into Wednesday according to Environment Canada and measurements at the Canadian Rockies International airport.
Zettel says the City’s entire fleet is out removing snow, supported by contractors who’ve been hired to help with the work load.
He adds if residents could find a place to park off-street it would help crews clear residents streets as best as possible.
