The Kootenay ICE embark on a five-game road swing beginning in Lethbridge Tuesday.
The ICE will play four games in five days including other stops in Swift Current, Prince Albert and Saskatoon.
Kootenay is currently riding a seven game point streak dating back to December 9th.
Head Coach James Patrick says they’re going to continue to take things one game at a time.
“It is tough with the travel and the amount of games but I don’t want to get ahead of ourselves, all we’re talking about [is] rest, hydration, eating the proper foods and get ready to play.” says Patrick.
Kootenay has only seen the Hurricanes once this year when they were shutout 3-0 on home ice November 25th.
Head Coach James Patrick says the Canes aren’t a flashy team but they’ll be tough to beat on home ice.
“They’ve got depth.” says Patrick. “They’ve got guys on four lines [and] I think they’ve got as good of goaltending as there is in the league and that was the difference last time we played them.”
The ICE are second in the Central Division four points ahead of the third place Hurricanes and five points behind the first place Medicine Hat Tigers.
Cameron Hausinger is the hottest player for Kootenay as of late tallying 10 points in his last seven games.
Tuesday’s game can he heard on 102.9 The Drive starting with the pre-game show at 6:35.
