Kimberley City Council will decide if they will go ahead with controversial plans for a popular recreation site Monday night.
Council is expected to make a final vote on amendments to the Official Community Plan, which proposes to designate the 24 acre Marysville Benchlands for light industrial development.
The land was earmarked for industry in the 2005 OCP.
More than 100 people took part in a public hearing on the new plan last week with most commenting on the Benchlands.
Some residents oppose any development on the property but others argue Kimberley needs industry.
A report from staff to Council recommends going ahead with the new OCP as is.
