Yet another fine has been handed out in the Columbia Valley after a vehicle failed to stop for a school bus with its flashing lights on.
RCMP received a report from the Rocky Mountain School District last week about an SUV that passed a bus on April 6th.
Police watched a surveillance video of the indicdent and handed out a ticket to the alleged driver along with a $368 fine.
Local mounties and school officials have already voiced concerns over this issue multiple times in the past.
Operation Safe Stop Education and Enforcement Day, a program that educates the public on safe driving around school buses, is April 26th.
