A young defenceman from Cranbrook is proving himself worthy on Team Canada’s blue line at the IIHF Under-18 World Championship.
Canada won three straight games to open the tournament after shutting out Team Switzerland 5-0 on Sunday.
16-year old Key City product Bowen Byram added an assist in Canada’s 8-3 win over Team Belarus on Friday.
Byram is one of three 2001-born players on the Canadian roster.
Team Canada puts their undefeated record on the line against Team Sweden, another team who has yet to lose a game, on Tuesday.
