A French language school could soon call the City of Kimberley home.
Parents in the Kimberley area put together a bid last year to the Francophone School board to bring French-language education to the community.
The School Board accepted the bid and believes there’s enough Francophone children to make a school viable.
They are holding a meeting 6:30 pm Wednesday night at Hotel Kimberley to discuss plans for a school and get feedback from parents.
The earliest a school could open in Kimberley is September of this year, but that could be pushed back if some conditions are not met.
