A fallen Cranbrook firefighter is receiving special honours from the British Columbia Professional Fire Fighters Association.
The BCPFFA recognized Captain Clayton Murrell for his many years with Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services.
Murrell and his partner Joan MacKinnon died in February of this year after a collision on Highway Three near Yahk.
The Association expressed their gratitude for Murrell’s service and bestowed upon him Honorary Membership.
The resolution was passed by all members of the convention raising to their feet in thunderous applause.
Cranbrook’s Professional Fire Fighters Local 1253 thanked all members of the group for the honor.
