A Kootenay ICE alumnus is reportedly in stable condition after an incident over the weekend.
According to the WHL, Matt Alfaro was injured along with former Lethbridge Hurricanes teammates Jordy Bellerive and Ryan Vandervlis while starting a campfire Friday.
All three players are being treated at a hospital in Calgary.
Alfaro and Bellerive are both in stable condition while Vandervlis is in a medically-induced coma and is in critical condition.
Alfaro played with the ICE from 2013 to 2017.
