Cranbrook’s mayor is seeking re-election.
Lee Pratt made the announcement Monday following a city council meeting.
Pratt says he works with an excellent council that he wants to continue to work with to serve the city.
“I have a great council.” says Pratt. “We don’t always agree on everything but we manage to come to some kind of an agreement that get things done and I think if you look at what we’ve accomplished in the last three and a half years, it’s unbelievable in comparison to what other places have.”
Pratt believes he followed through on everything he promised in his first term.
“I promised three things.” says Pratt. “One was financial responsibility, fixing roads and infrastructure, and economic development and I look back and think we accomplished every one of them.”
Pratt points to the capital roads program as one major avenue of success for the city.
Kimberley and Fernie’s mayors have already announced they’re seeking re-election.
The municipal election takes place October 20th.
