Two men from Bountiful were sentenced today after being convicted of polygamy last year.
Winston Blackmore was sentenced to six months house arrest to be served as a conditional sentence in his community.
James Oler faces a similar three month sentence, also to be served as a conditional sentence in his community.
Both men will serve probation for 12 months following their sentence.
Blackmore was found guilty of polygamy last July after marrying 24 women, including nine women under the age of 18.
Oler was also found guilty of having five wives, including a 15 year old and 17 year old girl.
This is the third case of polygamy in Canada in the laws 130 year history.
Previous cases were held in 1899 and 1906.
