East Kootenay communities are receiving over $3.4 million in new provincial grants.
This as the BC Government is dispersing over $106 million dollars in grants to communities and districts across British Columbia.
The funding was made available through small community grants, regional district grants and traffic fine revenue sharing grants.
Kimberley received the largest amount of funding at $557,229, while Fernie gets just over $482,561.
The Regional District of East Kootenay also received a small community and regional district grant of $170,000.
