There are three active wildfires in the East Kootenay.
The BC Wildfire Service says the biggest one is between Cranbrook and Kimberley at Burnett Creek near Wycliffe.
The 0.9 hectare blaze is believed to be human-caused.
Another fire is burning Matthew Creek and St. Mary Lake Road area west of Marysville.
It’s size is 0.3 hectares and is also suspected to have been human-sparked.
The third fire is south of Sparwood at Liadner Creek.
The fire is believed to be tirggered by lightning and is at 0.3 hectares.
