Police in Kimberley are taking more drunk drivers off the road.
This from the RCMP’s latest report to Kimberley council, which says officers have been very successful with traffic enforcement over the second quarter, specifically in dealing with impaired drivers.
Sergeant Chris Newel said officers had removed 37 impaired drivers from the road, which is more than the 35 pulled over throughout all of 2017.
Kimberley’s Speed Watch program has also been active.
In June, the volunteers have been deployed three times. monitoring over 1,600 vehicles.
