The Cranbrook Rotary Club has extended its partnership with the Kootenay ICE through the 2020-21 season.
This will ensure the Rotary Club remains the exclusive 50/50 sponsor for the hockey club.
President Ed Murray says they had been in charge of 50/50 for playoff games for years and had discussions with ICE president and GM Matt Cockell about doing it for regular season games.
“They came back to us and that’s exactly what they wanted to do. So we took it on last year and we’re pretty excited about it. We had a very committed group of members. Obviously it was a win-win situation for our Rotary Club, the hockey club and also for the community.”
Murray says the partnership gives the club projects to work on for the next three years.
