The City of Kimberley is investing $100,000 into giving signage around the city a facelift.
City Council gave their approval earlier this week for a signage strategy update, which will use Resort Municipality Initiative funding to remove outdated signs and update signage for streets around town.
Manager of Planning Services Troy Pollock says this will freshen up the city’s look to match current marketing and branding.
“We’ll begin with some of the real key signage on some of the main routes and some of the main commercial areas and work outward from there,” Pollock says. “There’s quite a large number of signs that will ultimately need to be replaced, so we’ll start phasing out here in the coming weeks.”
Pollock says work to replace the signs will continue into 2019.
