A Columbia Valley Daycare has been approved for a large funding injection to help with playground improvements.
Manager of Windermere Valley Child Care Society Pat Miller says a $35,000 Columbia Basin Trust child care capital grant will help with installing the new outdoor play structure.
She says they recently finished work on one of their playgrounds meant for toddlers.
“Now we only have the out-of-school [playground] which is looking pretty tattered out there. It’s the only one we have left to do so we’ve been crossing our fingers that we can get it done.”
She hopes for success in other grant applications to get the equipment ready soon, otherwise the new playground will by added by spring.
