Columbia Valley RCMP is reminding drivers and cyclists to stay safe on the road.
This after a car was travelling 120 km/h past an accident scene on Saturday near Fairmont Hot Springs.
They say motorists are required to slow down and move over for all vehicles along the road that have flashing red, blue or yellow lights.
In an 80 km/h or over speed zone vehicles should slow to 70 km/h.
Vehicles should slow to 40 km/h when in a zone under 80 km/h.
RCMP add cyclists must ride single file and keep to the right hand side of the road as well as obey traffic signs and signals.
Cyclists must wear an approved helmet and cannot ride on a sidewalk unless signage says otherwise or if the road is not paved.
