Cooler temperatures and high humidity made for a good day for crews battling the 9,284 hectare Meachen Creek fire west of Kimberley.
Crews are also reporting that the lack of smoke in the area allowed aircraft to action the fire line.
The blaze is still active in Fiddler Creek but is not inching closer to the St. Mary Lake community where 65 properties remain on evacuation order
The evacuation alert for the City of Kimberley is still active as well.
Meanwhile, The evacuation alert for a property near Yahk still stands due to the 1,030 hectare Randall Creek fire.
Crews continue to battle the 3,015 hectare Cross River blaze which has nine properties outside of Radium placed on evacuation order.
