Fernie Search and Rescue was needed to rescue a cyclist on the Trans Canada Trail.
Rescue crews responded to a SPOT activation in the Wigwam area around 4 pm Saturday.
A cyclist was riding with two other people when he cut open his calf while climbing over a downed tree.
SAR team members accessed the area by helicopter and transported the cyclist back to Elk Valley Hospital.
