Cranbrook’s top cop is moving on.
After 3 years with Cranbrook’s detachment, Sgt. Hector Lee announced at last night’s city council meeting that he will be transferring to Kelowna.
Lee says he will be taking on a District Advisory NCO role in Kelowna.
He says he is proud of the team he lead the past 3 years, from the senior NCO’s to the newer faces.
“We’ve brought in a lot of new faces,” Lee says. “A lot of those faces do have a tie to the community or the East Kootenays. So it’s been a bonus because obviously there’s a little more pride and a little more at stake in their day to day operations and police work.”
Lee will remain in Cranbrook until his house is sold.
