A former Sparwood District Councillor wants to return to office.
Sonny Saad lost his seat in 2014 but he’s running again.
Saad says he wants another term as he has unfinished business at the office.
“I just feel that I worked for the municipality for 35 years and then I retired, I feel I have a good working knowledge of what I think I’d like to see done,” Saad says. “I’d like to see more for kids, more for seniors and more for just adults.”
Saad says he wants to revisit the District’s ski hill if he returns to municipal office.
“I’d like to see us be able to get our ski hill back,” Saad says. “It’s nothing fantastic, but I think it would really bring kids something to do.”
Saad’s name will on the ballots in Sparwood for the Municipal Election on October 20th.
