A touted Kootenay ICE prospect got his first taste of WHL regular season action over the weekend.
Carson Lambos, who was picked 2nd overall in the 2018 bantam draft, says the fast-paced play in the league is quicker than what he’s used to.
“As the game went on I felt a little bit more comfortable. Atmosphere was unreal, fans made it great, it was something I won’t forget.”
Lambos says he’s happy to have his first WHL game under his belt.
“It’s been a goal of mine to play in this league for quite some time. Hopefully I can return next year.”
Lambos will be sent back to the Rink Hockey Academey Bantam Prep program soon.
The ICE beat the Calgary Hitmen in Saturday’s opener 5-3.
