A Sparwood District Councillor is ready to run for a second term.
Brad Bowen says his first term on council was educational, and now he wants another four years to put what he’s learned to use.
Bowen says if elected he wants to work with local businesses.
“Attract new business into town as well,” Bowen says. “I think we started out going from business to business but after the first year it kind of lapsed, and I don’t think we spent enough time consulting with the businesses.”
Bowen says the project he’s most proud of from his time in office is the Middletown Crossing.
“When I got elected, it was kind of put on hold due to lack of funds. Fortunately in 2017, we got grants from the Federal and Provincial government and that’s been an ongoing project since 2013,” Bowen says. “It should be completed around the middle of October.”
The election is set for October 20th.
