Kimberley residents will be able to gain insight ahead of next month’s referendum on the SunMine.
They’ll be asked if they’re in favour of the city selling the assets of SunMine to Teck for fair market value.
Chief Administrative Officer Scott Sommerville will be hosting a presentation Monday night regarding the referendum.
“So we’re putting on this information session to go through what the rationale is, what the strategy is,” Sommerville says. “What it might look like if people vote yes or what it might look like if people vote no.”
This will include a detailed power point presentation followed by a question and answer period.
The event happens at council chambers at 7:00 pm.
The referendum will be held alongside October 20th’s municipal election.
