The number of utility bills sent out annually will be reduced from six to three.
Cranbrook City Council voted on the change during Monday night’s meeting.
Director of Finance Charlotte Osborne says residents will not have to change their payment methods
Osborne says the finance department is looking into a new email based system.
“We’re starting the research with our finance system provider,” Osborne says. “and looking at making those changes. So we can consider rolling that out for folks interested in that model.”
The first bill should arrive in March, followed by July and November.
