A former leader of the polygamous community of Bountiful will be back in Cranbrook court Monday.
James Oler will be back in Supreme Court Monday afternoon to fix a date for a two to three week trial.
This after a second trial was ordered for Oler for removing a child from Canada for a sexual purpose.
Special Prosecutor Peter Wilson spoke over the phone in Cranbrook Court in September on the matter.
Oler had been acquitted in February of 2017 of taking a 15-year-old girl across the border for a sexual purpose.
That verdict was appealed by the Crown, who said the trial judged erred in concluding it had not been proven that Oler had done anything within Canda to arrange the girl’s transfer to the United States.
