We’re still waiting to hear when a new trial will begin for James Oler.
He was acquitted last year on a charge that stated he took an under-aged girl to the US in 2004 to marry a leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.
Oler briefly appeared in Cranbrook Supreme Court this morning and was told he’d appear via teleconference in Kamloops November 1st to set a date for a new three week trial.
That trial will take place in Cranbrook when the dates are set.
