The City of Kimberley’s SunMine produced less energy over the summer months this year than expected.
City staff released their third quarter report on SunMine Production, showing the facility produced around 91 per cent of what was expected from July to September of this year.
The SunMine generated around $64,434 in revenue over that time.
August had the worst production of the three months.
Staff say wildfires and the resulting smoke negatively affected production for that month.
This is the second year in a row that wildfires have negatively impacted the SunMine.
