Over 30 different booths representing potential career and education opportunities brought East Kootenay residents to a job fair in Cranbrook Thursday.
The job fair included representatives from businesses like Bear Paw Contracting, Canada Border Services Agency, and Copper Point Resort.
One attendee, a grade 10 student named Sophie, says the fair was fun because of the free souvenirs from the stands and the information provided to help her plan her future.
“I learned about the College,” says Sophie. “and the stuff you have to take to apply, and then I got free headphones, and there’s stands to help aboriginal people get work.”
The fair took place at the Ktunaxa Nation Building In Cranbrook.
