Santa Claus may live in the North Pole but he needs to park his sleigh in Cranbrook.
JCI Kootenay says the Santa Claus float used in Cranbrook’s annual parade is in need of a new home.
Last year the tent that was used to store the float was stolen.
JCI Senator Devon Brulotte says the tent was replaced but they want a more permanent shelter.
“We would prefer to have an indoor base,” Brulotte says. “That’s regulated from the elements, and possibly lit. That way when the JCI volunteers want to help maintain and upgrade the float we have a place to work on it”.
The float is 26 feet long, 10 feet wide, and 10 feet high.
